IT ALL STARTED WHEN RICK BICKNER HAD A DREAM…

I wanted to create my own ice creams and sorbets without limitation on creativity. I could never find good-quality ice cream out there in the United States so in 1989, I began creating unique and different flavors to sell to local businesses in my hometown of Jackson Hole, Wyoming. I then opened a small little shop in the back of my mom and dad’s store (Beaver Creek Hat & Leather) where I could make & sell these delicious creations to the locals as well… and Moo’s Gourmet Ice Cream was born! I thought Moo’s was the perfect name since I used organic, all natural ingredients in everything I made! Then…, I met Vicki…, we fell in love, got married and the business began to grow - right along with our family, with our son Zack joining in the family business too!

In 2010, we were completely outgrowing the small shop and thanks to my amazing wife, Vicki, she found us a much larger store and we moved Moo’s to a corner store on the Jackson Hole Town Square. By 2017, as Moo’s continued to gain droves of new customers, both retail and wholesale, we had to expand the size of our store yet again… only this time, we not only moved into an even larger store, but we built a custom kitchen specifically for the handmaking of our delectable ice creams and sorbets; we also make homemade cookies (for our homemade ice-cream sandwiches), brownies, and much more! Our new store has been the perfect fit for Moo’s and is centrally located directly off Jackson Hole Town Square at 155 Center Street.

Thanks to all of our customers, Moo’s has become a local and regional favorite! The Food Network selects a "best dessert" in each of the 50 states and Moos' Wild Huckleberry Ice Cream has been chosen as the best dessert for the state of Wyoming!

Not only do the locals love Moo’s, but the tourists and bus tours drop by in droves and if there’s a line out the door and around the block, please don’t worry…, our employees know how to scoop quickly to keep that line moving!

… then Zack got married and he and wife, Jolene have three beautiful daughters, Anica, Kaleigh and Mianna. Rick & Vicki refer to the girls as our Huckleberry Babies and the girls call them Tootsie and Pop.

Igloo fort Pop and the Huckleberries built for a snow fight!

The Huckleberries have grown up around Moo’s and now that they are young adults, they have started working at Moo’s, helping Tootsie and Pop, serving our guests, doing bookwork, etc., in the hopes that one day, they will take over the business.

AT MOO’S WE LOVE ALL HOLIDAYS, BUT HALLOWEEN IS OUR ABSOLUTE FAVORITE! ALL OF THE KIDS COME AND EVERYONE HAS A BLAST!
